Letter to our future donors

Dear Local Business Owner,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Daniela Brehm, and I am writing to you on behalf of Applegrove Nature School. As a fellow member of our local community, I wanted to reach out to discuss an exciting opportunity for partnership and community support.

At Applegrove Nature School, we are deeply committed to fostering a love and appreciation for the natural world in children from all walks of life. Our vision is simple yet profound: we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore, learn, and grow in a natural environment. We strive to cultivate self-confident, resilient, and caring problem-solvers who are deeply connected to the world around them.

Research has shown that nature school programs offer numerous benefits to children, including:

  • Better gross and fine motor skills
  • Greater attention spans
  • Improved auditory and visual processing
  • Enhanced social skills like cooperation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
  • Increased emotional stability
  • Improved physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being
  • Increased self-discipline, self-awareness, and resilience
  • Enhanced understanding of biodiversity and the natural world

Despite these proven benefits, financial barriers can prevent some families from accessing our programs despite their desire to provide their children with enriching experiences in nature. That's why we have established a bursary fund dedicated to sponsoring children from families in need, allowing them to attend our nature school programs with a tuition subsidy of up to 50% per child.

We are reaching out to local businesses and organizations, such as yours, to invite you to join us in supporting this important initiative. Your contribution to our bursary fund will directly impact the lives of children in our community, opening doors to transformative experiences and opportunities for growth.

Our fees generally range between $90 and $250 depending on the length and type of programming. So even a small donation of $50 to $150 would help one child learn and play in nature.

If you are interested in learning more about our bursary fund or how you can get involved, please don't hesitate to contact us directly via email or phone. We would be delighted to discuss potential partnership opportunities and ways in which we can recognize your support within our community.

Thank you for considering this request, and for your ongoing commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children and families in our community. Together, we can make a lasting impact that will be felt for generations to come.

Warm regards,

Daniela Brehm BSc BEd
